Habibi

Adopted Oct. 2009

Habibi (which means Sweetheart in Arabic) was a New Ulm city stray dog. Needless to say, a stray St. Bernard is most unusual. Even though her stay at BCHS was short, she captured many hearts of the volunteers at the shelter. Habibi owners have shared the following with us: “She loves being with us and is willing to go wherever we go, even if she thinks we should spend more time lounging and less hiking :)” Habibi passed the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen Test & is working on becoming a therapy dog, thru the Delta Program. Once she is certified she will be able to go into nursing homes, schools, libraries, or other places that welcome therapy pets. We are so thankful that Habibi found such a loving, wonderful home and we are sure she will continueto “steal” hearts (where ever she goes) as a therapy dog!

The BCHS has many other success stories just waiting to happen!
